My Tools Stack for 2025

toolspersonal

I'm particular about my tools. Not in a precious way—in a "these need to actually work" way. Here's what's earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Hardware

MacBook Pro 14" — The M-series chips changed everything. All-day battery, silent, handles anything I throw at it.

Keychron K2 — Mechanical without being obnoxious. Hot-swappable switches mean I can tinker without commitment.

Studio Display — Expensive? Yes. Worth it for the built-in camera and speakers? Absolutely.

Software

Cursor — AI-assisted coding that actually helps. Claude integration is excellent.

Linear — Project management that stays out of the way. Fast, keyboard-driven, beautiful.

Notion — My second brain. Notes, docs, databases—everything lives here.

Figma — Even for rough wireframes, nothing beats it.

The Anti-Stack

Things I've intentionally removed:

  • Twitter notifications
  • Most Slack workspaces
  • Apps that send daily "engagement" emails

The best tool is often the one you delete.
